Blogger Recognition Award?

Nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award? Little ol’ me? Well golly! blogger recognition

I’m gonna be honest with you guys–not that I’m ever dishonest but let’s get back to the point–I never expected to be nominated for any award in the blogger community so butter my buns and call me a biscuit ’cause I’m shocked. It’s merely a nomination but I wanna thank Amanda at Amanda’s Book Nook for nominating for this award (originally created by Eve at Edge of Night) and making my day! 🙂

Rules:

  • Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
  • Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post. Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created.
  • Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night. That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!

My Humble Beginnings:

Why did I start this blog? I don’t have any epiphanous stories to tell you given the fact that this blog was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I guess the idea was really sparked into my head when I saw other people’s book blogs and I realized that blogging about books was a thing that people actually did. (I discovered booktube around the same time but me in front of a camera? Not gonna happen). If there is anything I love more than reading books, that would be talking about books. Most of my friends however do not possess the same passion for reading as I do so I don’t have many people to gush over books with. Ergo, blogging is a perfect forum for me and thus Taming of the Bookworm was born!

I don’t even have that much followers but to those special snowflakes that decided to click the blue button, I thank and appreciate you.

Word of Advice:

Blogging should be fun. Don’t feel like you have to have a strict update schedule and don’t beat yourself up if you fall back on it. Blog about whatever your heart desires to blog about. Although it can, your blog doesn’t have to revolve around one subject, it can be miscellaneous. Lastly, change your layout now and again. It’s so refreshing.

  2. ‘Butter my buns and call me a biscuit’ – I’ve never heard that one before but it’s BRILLIANT.

Thank you so much for the nomination. I don’t tend to do award posts so much anymore but I still love getting them and really appreciate it. 🙂 I started my blog on a totally whim too, I had no idea I would still be doing it 4 years later. Keep up the great work!

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination! I really appreciate it! This is the first time I’ve been nominated for this award. You’re absolutely right that blogging should always be fun. Sometimes I feel under pressure to always put out content, but then I realize that I should be more relaxed and just have fun writing! 🙂
