Have you seen them? Have you seen the gloriousness that are the character posters for Mockingjay Part 2?
Lionsgate Entertainment released them yesterday and the gap from now until November has suddenly seemed to increase in size.
Finnick’s is my favorite. His face doesn’t look like it’s swallowing the camera like the others and his eyes are popping behind the red mockingjay.
Cressida (love her):
Gale (so annoying but Liam Hemsworth has my heart):
And the face of it all, the leader & symbol of this revolution, Miss Katniss Everdeen:
I LOVE these! I get heart eyes while looking at them. The mockingjays across their faces are brilliant and their expressions? Fierce like a tiger. All bite no bark. No time for pleasantries, they’ve got a revolution to fight. Ack! I’m so excited! I love how they each have a different demographic that each character represents then there’s Katniss representing them all as a whole – PANEM Unite. Everything is perfect.
JLaw posted a movie poster too on her facebook:
Let’s just take a step back and appreciate her poise on that throne. The regal-like confidence. Nobody can kick her off cause that’s her rightful spot. I kind of miss the fire burning behind her but it’s now consumed in her suit and it will burn forever.
Just one question: Anybody willing to paint a red mockingjay on my face for me?
THIS NOVEMBER. COMES THE EVENT. THE WORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR. . .
Oh my gosh. The first Mockingjay Part 2 Trailer is here! And as always…it was epic. One thing I just cannot stop gushing about concerning this franchise (and there are many other things) is the beautifully crafted graphics and set pieces. Way better than anything I could have imagined. That first scene with the trees and the underground compound is literally eye-gasmic. The sets, the outfits, the overall quality of the image is just gorgeous. Then, we have Katniss, of course, looking all fierce in her mockingjay suit. “Only thing we have to do now is add more fire to the rebellion.” Damn right.
Plutarch makes his appearance in this trailer. I wasn’t sure if he was going to be in it for obvious unfortunate reasons (R.I.P Philip Seymour Hoffman) but he is and I’m incredibly happy! President Snow also makes his appearance in quite a dashing suit might I add.
We, as in those who have read the books, all know that Mockingjay, the novel, was–how to put this delicately?–less than what was expected…or hoped. However, the directors and producers of the movie took that and turned it into something worth watching, increasing my love for this franchise all the more. So Mockingjay Part 1 was great. It’s just that nothing really happened in it. Therefore, I’m just so excited for Part 2 because that’s where the action happens–and the tragedy.
But let’s not focus on that right now.
“Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 76th Hunger Games.”
Brenton Thwaites is too damn fine. Sorry not sorry, just had to acknowledge that.
Last time I read The Giver was in 7th grade and the only thing I remembered about reading it was the absence of color and a red apple. Therefore, I can’t review this movie based on the book so I’m just going to tell you what I thought.
The acting was not phenomenal but it was good enough. The graphics were great, they really focused on the color of everything which I thought was great. The scenes when Jonas received from the Giver were produced well. I love the one with the music and the dancing.
I like what they did with the town because it really showed sameness. The bird’s eye view is literally just perfect circles.
My sister said the chasing part didn’t happen, that Jonas just left with Gabriel and went to the cabin and that was the first time he heard music. I don’t remember that part in the book but I like how they changed it because if Jonas just left there would be no excitement.
When the wave of memories came back to everyone, they didn’t look like they were hit with emotion. It was just kind of like *staring blankly into space…tear* I feel like they could have acted better. Overall though, I thought the movie was beautiful. It left me feeling all happy and hopeful. Then One Republic plays at the end and it’s even better.
My only question was “Why is Taylor Swift in this movie?” but anyway! Beautiful movie, you all should watch it if you’ve read the book, haven’t read the book whatever. If you’ve seen it, comment and let’s chat! Okay? Okay. 🙂
